In this edition of Madrid Live, presenter Ann Bateson interviews Cheryl Bentyne from the acclaimed vocal group Manhattan Transfer. This coincides with the release of The Summit Live, a live album featuring the voices of Manhattan Transfer and another acclaimed vocal group - Take 6.  Cheryl tells us about the wide variety of music the quartet embraces and the deep respect they have for the American Songbook.

We also hear from bilingualism expert Barbara Zurer who has written a book entitled Raising a Bilingual Child which has been published in Spanish.

Plus Ann Bateson's interview with Marcus Sedgwick who's regarded as one of the most gifted and prolific writers of young adult fiction in the UK.  Marcus tells us about The Dark Horse which was shortlsted for the Guardian Children's Fiction Prize.  He thinks this was probably the novel which made people take notice of him.  Marcus also talks about his recent novel Ghosts of Heaven which he says is aimed at one adult - himself.  Ghosts of Heaven was shortlisted for the Carnegie Medal and won the Michael L. Printz Honor Award
